In 2008, I visited Sierra Leone for work. After a meeting I had in Freetown, I headed back to my hotel on the other side of the city. When the driver made a quick stop at his house, I saw these kids playing around on the street in front of the house.  One of my Sierra Leonean colleagues told me that during the summer holidays, the children just played outside while the parents were at their work. This was the initial spark which has over time transformed into Stichting We Play (We Play Foundation).
